Energía

Energía, or energy in English, refers to the capacity to perform work or produce change. It exists in various forms, including kinetic (the energy of motion), potential (stored energy based on an object’s position), thermal (heat energy), chemical (energy stored in chemical bonds), electrical (energy from electric charges), and nuclear (energy stored in atomic nuclei). Energy can be transformed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed, a principle known as the conservation of energy. In practical terms, energy is essential for physical processes and is fundamental to all activities and systems, from living organisms to machinery and technology. Measurement of energy is typically expressed in joules, calories, or kilowatt-hours. Understanding energy is crucial in fields such as physics, engineering, and environmental science, particularly in the context of energy production, consumption, and sustainability.
