Energía verde

Energía verde, or “green energy” in English, refers to energy that is produced from renewable, sustainable sources that have a lower environmental impact compared to traditional fossil fuels. The primary sources of green energy include solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, and biomass. These energy sources are naturally replenished and can be harnessed without depleting resources or causing significant harm to the environment. Green energy is characterized by its ability to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize pollution, contributing to efforts against climate change and promoting environmental sustainability. The term emphasizes not just the renewable nature of the energy source but also its ecological benefits and alignment with sustainable development goals. In contrast to conventional energy sources like coal and oil, which can be damaging to the planet, green energy represents a shift towards cleaner and more responsible energy practices.
