Hydrogène vert

Hydrogène vert, or green hydrogen, refers to hydrogen gas that is produced through renewable energy sources, primarily via the process of electrolysis. In this process, water is split into hydrogen and oxygen using electricity generated from renewable sources such as wind, solar, or hydroelectric power. The term “green” distinguishes it from hydrogen produced using fossil fuels, which contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. Green hydrogen is considered a clean energy carrier with the potential to reduce carbon emissions in various sectors, including transportation, industry, and energy storage. It offers a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels and is seen as a key component in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
